Cookies and Browser Storage

The reading guides do not require an account or an advertising profile. This page explains the storage behavior of the supplied static site.

What cookies are

Cookies are small values a website can ask your browser to store and send with later requests. Similar browser technologies, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, can retain information on a device without using cookies. Their purposes and privacy implications depend on what information is stored and how it is used.

What the site’s own code uses

The supplied HTML and JavaScript do not set cookies, write to localStorage or sessionStorage, or install advertising and analytics trackers. Menu state, scroll effects and contact drafts are handled in the current page rather than saved as a visitor profile.

This describes the static site code, not every possible feature of a hosting environment or a separately managed consent layer. Hosting or security services may have their own necessary technical behavior. If a separately provided preference control is displayed, use that control for the options it describes. Any added optional tracking should be disclosed and, where required, remain disabled until valid consent is obtained.

Contact drafts, clipboard and downloads

Typing into the contact tool creates values in the open page. Preparing a draft does not save it in the site’s browser storage. The browser itself may offer autofill or restore a previous form, depending on your settings.

Choosing “Copy draft” requests access to write the prepared text to your clipboard. Clipboard access may require HTTPS and browser permission. Choosing “Download .txt” creates a text file on your device. Neither action sends the draft to us. Clear copied text or delete downloaded files yourself if you no longer need them.

Managing browser information

Your browser settings let you inspect and remove site cookies and storage, limit third-party cookies and control permissions. The location and effect of these settings vary by browser and device. Removing site data may also remove preferences maintained by any separately provided consent service.

Disabling JavaScript does not remove the lesson text. It does disable the three-dot navigation toggle, local drafting buttons and scroll effects. At narrow screen sizes, you can still move between lessons through the page content, footer and the links listed below.
